Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, high-quality nursing care, encompassing the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualised care plans.
- Administer medications safely and accurately, adhering strictly to NMC guidelines and company policies, ensuring meticulous documentation.
- Conduct regular health monitoring, identifying changes in residents' conditions, and taking prompt, appropriate action, including escalation to senior staff or medical professionals.
- Supervise and mentor the care assistant team, delegating tasks effectively and fostering a collaborative, positive working environment.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date resident records and care plans, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate effective communication with residents, their families, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Perform advanced clinical procedures such as wound care, catheter care, and stoma care with proficiency and adherence to best practice.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, demonstrating sound clinical judgment and decisive action.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Current and valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered General Nurse (RGN).
- A recognised nursing qualification (e.g., Diploma or Degree in Nursing).
- Proven experience working as a Nurse, ideally within an elderly care or nursing home environment, demonstrating strong clinical skills.
- A natural disposition that is kind, compassionate, and deeply committed to making a positive difference in people's lives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
- The legal right to work in the UK.
- Successful completion of an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
