nnKey Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for clients with acquired brain injuries. n
- Administer medication safely, monitor effects, and manage complex regimens in line with NMC guidelines and company protocols. n
- Perform regular neurological observations, interpret findings, and promptly escalate concerns to the appropriate medical professionals. n
- Provide direct nursing care, including advanced wound management, continence care, nutritional support, and proactive management of other physical health conditions. n
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team (therapists, doctors, support workers) to ensure integrated and holistic client care. n
- Communicate empathetically and clearly with clients, families, and carers, providing education, support, and involving them in care planning where appropriate. n
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date client records, adhering to professional, legal, and organizational standards. n
- Promote a therapeutic and safe environment, fostering client independence, dignity, and choice throughout their rehabilitation journey. n
- Participate in clinical supervision, ongoing training, and professional development activities specific to brain injury rehabilitation. n
- Adhere strictly to all safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of all clients under your care. n
Requirements & Qualifications

- Current and valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered General Nurse (RGN), Registered Nurse for Learning Disabilities (RNLD), or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN). n
- Demonstrable post-registration experience, ideally within neurological, rehabilitation, or complex care settings. Enthusiastic newly qualified nurses with a strong passion for brain injury rehabilitation are also encouraged to apply. n
- Proven ability to work effectively and flexibly on a shift rota, encompassing days, nights, weekends, and public holidays, essential for providing continuous client care. n
- A clear understanding of and unwavering commitment to person-centered care principles and the rehabilitation model. n
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational capabilities. n
